Therapist Bio
Starting therapy can come with a lot of thoughts and feelings, whether you are simply curious about how it might help or actively looking for support. My goal is to offer a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where you feel respected, heard, and supported throughout our time working together and beyond.
As a counseling intern, I specialize in working with individuals who have experienced trauma, including those impacted by domestic abuse and interpersonal violence. I also support clients working through anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. My approach is trauma-informed, client-centered, and always tailored to your unique experiences and goals. I am LGBTQIA+ safe and continuously growing in my cultural awareness.
My professional experience includes working as a school counselor, as well as within a
domestic violence nonprofit, supporting survivors and families in crisis. These experiences have deepened my understanding of how trauma can impact every part of life and how healing can begin with a safe and trusting connection.
Therapy should be a space where you feel empowered and validated. I use evidence-based
techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and other strengths-based approaches, and I enjoy integrating creativity into the process through games, pop culture, and your own unique interests.
Beginning or returning therapy does not mean you have to have everything figured out, but it can start the first steps of your journey. If you are interested in working together, I would be honored to support you.
